Do you Know about?

Osama much more searched and viewed topic than the Royal Wedding[Figures].

What will the next most buzzed word after Osama's death? Well we have to wait and see. But the incidents or events which occurred last two weeks had made new record in the Web World.

First the Royal Wedding. The most widely covered topic by media from time when the Queen had no objection with the commoner(Kate Middleton) becoming the new princess. The real buzz started in the cyber world as the date for big day was nearing. New records were emerged in Social media before and during the Wedding ceremony.

Here are some of the interesting thing which happened during the wedding:

It is estimated that 2 billion people (including 34 million Britons) watched the wedding live on T.V.
  • It was estimated that 9 million visitors visited BBC site to know and see the Buzz surrounding the Willam and Kate.
  • It has been described as one of the top ten events in the history of the internet (ranked at number 6).
  • As the royal couple made their vows an average of more than 300 tweets per second were registered (42% of all Royal Wedding-related tweets came from Twitter.com. 39% came from mobile devices) Where 64% of tweets came from women, versus 36% from men.
  • Facebook saw a 74 status updates per second mentioned the royal wedding.
  • The royal wedding was mentioned around 67 times a second on Twitter.
  • Akamai, a major online video carrier, said the wedding had beaten its precious record for a live streaming audience, set at 1.6 million during last year’s World Cup(FIFA).

All of a sudden, it look like this hype disappeared by a man who made the world to wait for 10 years to know about his were about. He is none other that OSAMA BIN LADEN.

Google has registered a strong, big, sharp spike in its search volume index on May 1, thanks to Osama Bin Laden. By looking at the graph, we can see that Royal Wedding was nothing before Osama's death news. All of a sudden, there was a mass increase in search about Osama, before that there was nothing buzzing about Osama. Going by countries which showed interested in osama was surprisingly South Africa, which also showed a similar of interest on Royal Wedding, followed by U.S.A and India.

Spammer took a lot of advantage on the US unwillingness to publish the Picture or Video of Osama Bin Laden's death.
